This page sets out what you may not do on the Rink Fries platform. It applies to everyone who uses Rink Fries: customers, vendors and their staff, and venue operators. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and, for vendors, the Vendor Agreement.
The short version
- Order what you mean to pay for and collect.
- Use only a card you are allowed to use.
- Treat vendors, their staff, other customers, and us with respect.
- Do not interfere with the site or try to reach data that is not yours.
1. What you may not do
You may not:
- place fake, test, or fraudulent orders on the live site,
- use a card that is not yours or that you are not allowed to use,
- raise a chargeback without first asking for a refund, or for an order that was delivered as described,
- harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate a vendor, venue staff, another customer, or a member of the Rink Fries team,
- interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, load it deliberately, or test it without our written permission,
- attempt to reach an account, an order, a vendor's data, or a system that is not yours,
- scrape the site or use automated tools to place orders or collect data,
- get around a fee, a limit, or a control the site applies,
- pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your relationship with a vendor or a venue,
- use the site to break the law or the rules of the venue you are in.
If you work for a vendor, you may not tamper with orders, prices, or the status of an order to mislead a customer or the vendor, and you may not use your access for anything other than the vendor's business.
2. What happens if you do
We take these seriously and we act on them. Depending on what happened we may:
- cancel an order,
- remove content you posted,
- suspend or close your account, immediately and without notice where the conduct is serious,
- block your access to the site,
- ask a venue to act under its own rules,
- report the matter to our payment processor or to the police.
If we close an account we will say why, unless the law prevents us.
3. Monitoring
We keep records of orders and of access to the site, and we review them when something looks wrong. Our Privacy Policy describes what we keep.
4. Access is not guaranteed
We may restrict or withdraw access to the site to protect it, the vendors, or other customers.
5. Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
